More than 400 enthusiastic volunteers gathered at Bellefontaine Grace Church this morning to kick off United Way’s Community Care Day and Campaign Kick-Off.
The event, which mobilizes local residents for a range of service projects, aims to make a significant impact across Logan County.
Volunteers are set to engage in a diverse array of tasks throughout the day, including:
– Delivering Meals-on-Wheels to local residents in need
– Painting and moving benches to enhance public spaces
– Washing down walls and performing deep cleaning
– Landscaping work at various community parks, including Southview, Myrtle, and Ratleff Parks
– Cleaning and dusting public areas and facilities
– Sorting and delivering school supplies from the annual Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive
– Mulching and organizing cabinets for better functionality
– Pressure washing and staining pergolas
– Painting the gymnasium at Hilliker YMCA
With so many projects on the agenda, volunteers are expected to contribute their time and skills to improve local facilities and support community needs.
The collaborative efforts underscore the community’s commitment to service and the impact of collective action in enhancing Logan County’s quality of life.
