| Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose is reminding eligible Ohioans that today, October 5, is the voter registration deadline for the November 3 General Election, with early in-person and absentee voting beginning tomorrow, October 6.
“Ohioans can head into this election with confidence knowing our elections are both secure and convenient,” said Secretary LaRose. “Whether you vote early in person, by mail, or at your polling place on Election Day, there are plenty of opportunities to make your voice heard. This is an important election, so make a plan, cast your ballot, and be part of deciding Ohio’s future.”
What Ohio voters need to know:
- October 5: Today is the deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration for the November 3 General Election. Eligible Ohioans can register online at VoteOhio.gov. The county boards of elections and the Ohio Secretary of State’s office are open until 9PM today to assist.
- October 6: Early in-person voting and absentee voting begin. View Ohio’s complete early voting hours here.
- Planning to Vote Absentee? All regular absentee ballots must be received by the county board of elections no later than 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. Voters are encouraged to request their ballot early and return it promptly. Track your absentee ballot at VoteOhio.gov/Track.
- November 3 is Election Day: Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Find your Election Day polling location here.
