West Liberty-Salem Local Schools will officially open its long-awaited Tiger Strong Fieldhouse Friday, September 4, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community open house.

The celebration will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. at the new fieldhouse. Students, families, alumni, donors, and community members are invited to tour the facility and celebrate the completion of the project.

The district says the fieldhouse is the result of years of planning, fundraising, and strong community support. The new facility will provide an additional resource for West Liberty-Salem students and athletes and represents a significant addition to the school campus.

Following the ribbon-cutting and open house, the celebration will continue at 6:30 p.m. at Tiger Stadium with a special Donor Recognition Ceremony.

During the ceremony, the district will recognize the individuals, families, businesses, and organizations whose generosity and support helped make the Tiger Strong Fieldhouse possible.

School officials say the facility was built for West Liberty-Salem students, but its completion was made possible through the continued investment and support of the community.

The district is encouraging the community to attend Friday’s celebration and help mark the beginning of a new chapter for West Liberty-Salem.
