The Bellefontaine girls bowling team set a new school record for total pins in a match, finishing with 2774 pins in their win over Graham (2579). Leading the charge for Bellefontaine was Gracie Hood, who rolled an impressive 255 and 289, totaling 544 pins. Chloe Heminger contributed 439 with games of 211 and 228, while Haylee Yelton added 379 with a 195 and 184. Nevaeh LaFollette bowled a 204 game for a 355 series, and Isabelle Gunnett chipped in with a 171 game. The Bellefontaine girls posted team games of 1002 and 1023 for a 2025 total. Their baker total was 749. Graham shot 1011 and 921, finishing with a 1932 total and a baker total of 647.
In the JV match, Bellefontaine defeated Graham 1564 to 1466. Kinzie Bernard led the way with a high game of 158, while Shelby Hoffman added a 124 game, and Rhiana Beair contributed 123.
Bellefontaine Boys Bowling Falls to Graham
In a close boys varsity match, Bellefontaine fell short to Graham, 2640 to 2468. The Chiefs’ top bowler was Alex Williams, who rolled games of 221 and 177 for a 398 series. Alex Moon contributed a 222, Robert Spain added a 214, and David Allen shot a 201. Bellefontaine’s baker scores were 163, 160, 145, and 184. The Chiefs will be on the road Tuesday for a CBC match at North Ridge.
For the JV, Paul “Van” LaFollette rolled a strong 220 and 202 for a 422 series, while Jacob Lynch contributed a 339 series with games of 155 and 184. Eli Stone, Timmy Phillips, and Parker Swearengin-Coy also added strong games. The JV baker series totaled 621.
Riverside Pirates Beat Triad in Bowling Match
Riverside’s boys varsity bowling team defeated Triad 2354 to 1863 at Goshen Lanes. Leading the Pirates was Cooper Crouch with a 471 series, followed by Aiden Manning, who shot a 209 game. In the JV match, Riverside triumphed 1726 to 1249. Jackson Linet led the way with a 259 series, and Lukas Foreman followed closely with a 246 series.
Bellefontaine and Riverside bowlers will be back in action on Tuesday for their upcoming matches.
