Benjamin Logan Boys Bowling Tournament Action

The Benjamin Logan Boys Varsity Bowling team traveled to Poelking-Woodman Lanes in Kettering to participate in the Wright State University Raider Collegiate High School Challenge.

22 boys teams participated.

Two conventional games plus 8 baker games were bowled with the top 8 teams advancing to the Championship Round.

The Raider boys placed 4th after qualifying guaranteeing placement in the Championship Bracket.

Leading the Raiders in the qualifying round (conventional games) was:

  • Jarrett Buckenroth – games of 250, 177 = 427 series. Jarrett missed making the ‘All-Tournament’ team by 2 pins.
  • Daven Williams – games of 206, 207 = 413 series.
  • Dylan Stewart – games of 177, 181 = 358 series.
  • Nate Davis chipped in a team-high game of 256.

In the Championship Bracket (consisting of 4 baker games – total pinfall moves on):

Round 1: BLHS was defeated by the #1 seed Ashland High School – 797 to 667.

The BLHS Boys team finished 6th overall in the tournament.
