Girls Net Points Over the Weekend: Riverside, Calvary, West Liberty-Salem, Indian Lake, Triad, Benjamin Logan and Bellefontaine

In girl’s basketball over the weekend:

 

The Riverside JV Lady Pirates beat Troy Christian 34-27.

Leading the Pirates in scoring was Maddie Lemly with 18.

The JV lady pirates are now 10-3 on the year.

The varsity Lady Pirates beat Troy Christian 59-42.

The Pirates are 6-10 on the year and 4-6 in the league.

Leading the Riverside in scoring was Reghan McDaniel with 18 and Emma Saylor had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

 

The Lady Spartans defeated Germantown in an OVCC conference matchup by a score of 54-33.

The Spartans were led by Madhuri Cook with 15 points and 8 steals.

Kari Gantz dropped 13 points.

Abigail Reinhard had 10 steals, 8 assists, 5 rebounds, and 5 points.

Iva Wilson added 7 points.

Nora Thornton added 6 points.

KayLee Hurley had 4 points, 5 steals, and 5 rebounds.

Allena Miller and Kaylie Carter chipped in 2 points each.

The Lady Spartans are now 11-1 overall and 8-0 in the OVCC.

 

West Liberty-Salem defeated West Jefferson 48-28.

Leading the Tigers:

  • Megan Hollar, 6 points
  • Chaley Wade, 10 points
  • Bailey Poppe, 4 points
  • Ava Astroino, 10 points
  • Maddie Cole, 8 points

The JV Tigers also defeated West Jefferson 30-21.

For the Tigers, Maddie McGill netted 8 points.

Indian Lake girls beat Northwestern 43 to 32.

Mackenzie Dixon led the Lakers with 12 points, 8 steals, and 3 assists.

Haylee Edwards added 11 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists.

Katie Roby had 9 points.

Indian Lake JV won 35 to 27.

Addy Roby led the Lakers with 13 points, 5 steals and 5 rebounds.

Terra Beltz added 9 points and Kora Fulkerson scored 8 points.

 

Triad played at home Saturday against Northeastern.

This was a Varsity-only contest.

Triad won 49-14.

For Triad, Emma Ferguson had 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Mia LeMay had 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Ashlyn McCoy had 7 points, 11 rebounds, and 1 assist.

Abbey Overfield tallied 3 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists.

Triad will play at home against Fairbanks on Wednesday.

JV is slated to start at 6:00 pm.

 

Saturday night the Benjamin Logan Girls basketball team hosted a league game against the North Union Wildcats.

The varsity girls lost 51 to 33.

Mia Stahler had 10 points, Mya Burrey and Rylan Norviel each had 5 points, and Georgia Bates and Kyndal Cronkleton both had 4 points each.

They are now 10-7.

The JV Raiders lost 37 to 26 to the Wildcats.

Molly Siefring scored 10 points, Adilynne Gregg had 6 points, and Miley Buettner, Bonnie Brunson, and Elliott Butler all added 3 points each.

They are now 9-5 on the season.

Both teams host Springfield City on Monday night with JV beginning at 6:00 pm.

 

The Lady Chieftains varsity basketball came up big Saturday with a win against Tecumseh, 44-39..

Leading the way offensively was Quinlan Zedeker with 14 points and 4 assists.

Lexi Robinson added 13 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

Tiffany Boop chipped in 12 points.

Alexza Clifton ripped down 9 rebounds and played great defense. Varsity moves to 9-8, 5-3 in the conference.

The JV Lady Chieftains defeated Tecumseh 48-38.

Leading the way was Hailee Lamb with 13 points.

Richiona Burnell and Presley Vigansky added 10 points each. It was a great team win.

Both teams are back in action Tuesday night at Wapakoneta.

JV tip is 6p and Varsity is 7:30p.
