Girls Soccer: Lakers Tie Greenville, Tigers Shut Out Miami East


The Indian Lake Girls soccer team tied Greenville 1-1 on Saturday.

Both teams scored early in the first half, but an excellent effort by both teams’ keepers kept the rest of the game scoreless.

For Indian Lake, Ashlynn Biederman had an assist, Harly Kinninger scored, and Savannah Hill had 9 saves.


The West Liberty-Salem Tigers shut out Miami East Saturday 6-0.

Scoring for the Tigers was Delaney Jones with 3 goals, and Rosie Dunham, Lilly Weaver & Megan Hollar each added one.

Ava Johnson had 2 assists, and Delaney Jones, Rosey Dunham & Megan Hollar had one each.

Audrey Collins had 5 saves in goal.

West Liberty Salem’s record is 5-0-0 for the season.

The Tigers are at home Saturday against Springfield Shawnee at 5:30 p.m.

Kaylee Blair had 5 saves in goal.

The Tigers JV team moves to 0-1-1 for the season.

West Liberty will play at Graham on Monday at 5:30 p.m.
