The local girls’ golf season continued Tuesday with several area teams competing in the Riverside Invitational at Cherokee Hills Golf Club.
Bellefontaine
Bellefontaine turned in the top local team finish, placing fourth overall in the tournament.
Sophomore Allison Myers led the Chieftains with a round of 106. Senior Ella Fultz followed with a 113, while senior Olivia Dearwester shot 115. Sophomore Paxton Stewart carded a 122, and sophomore Zoe Jervis finished with a 130.
Bellefontaine’s balanced lineup helped the Chieftains secure a top-four finish to open the season on a positive note.
Graham
Graham posted the best finish among the local teams, placing fifth overall in a competitive field. Bayla Moffitt turned in an outstanding performance, earning match medalist honors with the lowest individual score of the day to lead the Falcons.
The strong finish gives Graham an early boost as the team looks to build momentum heading into the heart of its schedule.
Indian Lake
Indian Lake opened its 2026 season with a team score of 429.
Junior Chloe Borgerding led the Lakers with a round of 102, while sophomore Adriana Andrus was close behind at 103. Senior Lily Michael added a 108, giving Indian Lake three golfers at 108 or better in the season opener.
Junior Lillian Strauser carded a 116, and senior Terra Beltz rounded out the scoring with a 119.
The Lakers showed balance throughout the lineup and will look to continue improving as the season progresses.
