Calvary Christian vs. Legacy Christian
On Thursday, September 26th, the Calvary Christian Spartans faced a tough loss against the Legacy Christian Knights, ending the game with a score of 2-1. The Knights led 1-0 at halftime and extended their lead early in the second half. Despite the setback, the Spartans displayed resilience, with junior Nehemiah Dillon scoring their only goal. Strong performances from the Spartan defense and goalkeeper Preston Carnes kept the team competitive. With a record of 11-2-1, the Spartans look to rebound next week against defending WOSL champions, Botkins.

Benjamin Logan Boys
The Benjamin Logan boys’ varsity soccer team fell to Kenton Ridge, losing 3-1. Aidan Todd scored a penalty kick with 20 minutes remaining after the Cougars had taken a commanding 3-0 lead in the first half. The Raiders now hold a record of 5-4-4 and will travel to Urbana next Monday.

Benjamin Logan Girls
The Benjamin Logan girls’ team also faced Kenton Ridge, losing 3-1. Kaylee Hays scored the Raiders’ lone goal. They will seek to improve their performance in their next game against Urbana on Monday.

West Liberty-Salem Boys
The West Liberty-Salem boys’ soccer team continued their strong season with a convincing 6-0 victory over Marion Pleasant. The Tigers, now 8-2-2, kicked off the scoring with Lance Campbell, assisted by Clay McAuley. Troy Christison scored twice, and Carson Kerns added another goal just before halftime. Isaiah Reames and Wyatt Longaberger each contributed a goal in the second half, while Tucker Searles and Kyler Langhardt combined for the shutout. The Tigers will be back in action this Saturday at Springfield Shawnee at 10 AM.

West Liberty-Salem Girls
The West Liberty-Salem girls’ soccer team secured a solid 4-0 win against Southeastern in conference play. Goalkeeper Audrey Collins made two saves, contributing to the shutout alongside Kaylee Blair. Goals were scored by Ava Johnson, Chloe Bender, Emery Longaberger, and Arianna Weaver, with assists from Gwen McCullough and Skyler Ropp. The Tigers are now 5-5 overall and 3-2 in conference play, gearing up for a matchup against Miami East on Monday with a kickoff set for 5:30 PM.
