IL Girls fall hard to London; Riverside JV wins big

Even though Indian Lake collected eight hits to London’s seven, they still fell 9-3 on Friday.

Halle Roby led the Lakers with three hits.

London was the first to get on the board in the first when Khloe Cunningham singled in two runs.

Abigail Elliott singled down the right field line, which helped Indian Lake tie the game at two in the top of the third.

London took the lead in the bottom of the third. Lylli Ball hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, to give London the upper hand, 3-2.

Mackenzie Dixon singled down the right field line, which helped the Lakers tie the game at three in the top of the fourth.

In the bottom of the fourth, though, London took the lead for good when Khloe Spencer singled, scoring one run.

Then an error followed to extend the lead to 5-3.

Bre Wisener led things off in the circle for Indian Lake, surrendering three hits and three runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking one.

Abigail Elliott provided a pop in the middle of the lineup for Indian Lake, providing two RBIs.

The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day.

Next up for Indian Lake is a game against Northwestern on Monday.

Riverside’s JV team defeated the Jackson Center Tigers on the road, 14-0.

Molly Carman had an outstanding night in the circle with 15 strikeouts.

Kara Klingler went 3-4 at bat with a double.

Kenzie Stotler, Molly Carman, and Keira Manahan each had a double as well.
