The Indian Lake Middle School Track & Field team had a strong showing at the London Middle School State Qualifier on Thursday, with numerous athletes earning personal records (PRs) and several placing among the top finishers to bring home medals.
Leading the way was Oliver Wilson, who captured first place in both the seated shot put and seated 100-meter dash, showcasing an outstanding all-around performance.
Mary Archer and Abby Bihn earned second-place finishes with personal bests—Archer in the 400-meter dash (1:09), and Bihn in the 800-meter run (2:36).
Taking third place were:
- Claire Tidwell in the discus with a throw of 68 feet, 8 inches (PR),
- The girls’ 4×800 relay team of Allison Overmyer, Laura Metzger, Caroline Jones, and Abby Bihn, who clocked in at 11:39 (PR), and
- The girls’ 4×400 relay team of Overmyer, Bihn, Jones, and Archer finished in 5:01.36 (PR).
Also contributing to the team’s overall success:
- Dalton Ferrell placed fourth in the shot put with a 35-1 PR.
- Laura Metzger was sixth in the 1600-meter run (6:31), and Hayden Kuhlke cleared 4-8 in the high jump for another sixth-place finish.
Seventh-place scorers included:
- Broxton Emrick in high jump (4-8 PR),
- Caroline Jones in the 1600-meter run (6:36 PR),
- Samantha Altstaetter in the shot put (25-6), and
- The boys’ 4×800 relay team of Kyler Dague, JJ Knox, Dalton Young, and Nathan White finished in 12:03.
Rounding out the top performances:
- Laura Metzger placed eighth in the high jump (4-0), and
- Dalton Ferrell secured another eighth-place finish in the discus with a throw of 85-7 (PR).
Bellefontaine Middle School Boys Track Team finished Runner Up out of 14 teams at the Indian Lake State Qualifying Invite earlier this week.

Kyrus Cobb – 1st in the 200m Hurdles and 3rd in High Jump
Mason Phillips- 7th in the 200m Dash
Caleb Rister – 8th in Long Jump
Ean Fultz – 6th in Discus
Came Middlesworth- 1st in Pole Vault
The 4x800m team of Cale Middlesworth, Sennet Stolly, Isaac Roberts, and Jackson Maus finished 3rd.
The 4x100m team of Harley Park, Isaiah Parks, Jason Taylor, and Kyrus Cobb finished 3rd.
The 4x200m team of Levi Lawrence, Mason Phillips, Jason Taylor, and Justus Damatteo finished 2nd.
The 4x400m team of Ean Fultz, Isaiah Walker, Sennet Stolly, and Justus Demmateo finished 4th.
