The Bellefontaine High School Chieftains, along with the support of the BMS Volleyball Teams and the Chieftain Backers traveled to Indian Lake for the 2023 “In-School Match”.
The Chiefs came home victorious, pulling out another 5-set win: 29-27, 14-25, 21-25, 25-23 & 16-14.
For the Chiefs:
- Madi Zedeker tallied 45 assists, 17 digs, and had perfect serving going 16/16 with an ace
- Ava Reeves chipped in with 28 digs and was 16/17 serving
- Kelsie Snapp added 37 digs, and 17 kills and was 23/24 serving with an ace
- Ava Campbell recorded 7 kills, 2 blocks, and 6 digs
- Taylor Banta added 17 kills, 15 digs and was 16/17 serving
- Reagan Standley had 12 digs and was 16/17 serving
- Ava Layman had 8 digs. Kylie Adams added 2 blocks
The Chiefs are back in action on Monday when they travel to Bethel.
For Indian Lake:
- Devin Rice had 19 kills, 3 blocks, and 1 block assist
- Madison Brentlinger had 18 kills, 4 ace serves, 1 block, and 35 digs
- Katie Roby had 3 ace serves and 28 digs
- Kenzie Dixon had 14 kills 2 block assists and 35 digs
- Tori Roby had 6 kills and 2 block assists
- Annie Rapp had 6 kills and 2 blocks
- Halle Roby had 5 kills, and 14 digs and broke an Indian Lake record for most assists in a match. She had 59 assists. The old record was 53 assists
Indian Lake is 12-4 overall, 6-0 in the CBC.
Their next match is tomorrow at Fairlawn at 10:00 a.m.
