Area basketball teams were in action Thursday.
Varsity girls:
Indian Lake ran past Benjamin Logan 46-27.
Stephanie Altstaetter led the Lakers with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 steals. Mackenzie Dixon added 14 points.
McKenzee Roseburrough paced the Raiders with 7 points.
Benjamin Logan won the JV contest 32-24.
For Indian Lake, Harly Kinninger tossed in 11 points and collected 5 steals. Carly Strayer added 7 points.
The Raiders were led by Addison Kuhn with 12 points.
Riverside topped Covington 41-28.
Ayva Stewart scored 11 points and Jade Copus chipped in with 5.
Triad beat Northeastern 56-36.
Abbey Overfield filled the stat sheet with 11 points, 3 steals, and 8 rebounds. Emma Ferguson had 10 points and 3 dimes, Madi Cox scored 10, Ashlyn McCoy netted 9 points, 3 assists, and 10 boards, and Kaley Nott added 7 points and 4 assists.
Triad’s JV team lost 15-12.
Hannah Russell and Lilli Fitak each had 4 points. Fitak also pulled down 5 rebounds. Bre Parsons collected 10 boards in the effort.
The Lady Cardinals will travel to Fairbanks Saturday with the JV starting at noon.
Middle School:
The Bellefontaine 7th-grade girls fell to Kenton 26-10.
Ava Oppy tossed in 6 and Amari Hunsicker and Joy Fogan each added a basket.
Bellefontaine’s 7th-grade girls drew a bye for the first round of the CBC tournament and will host the winner of Northridge and Graham on Monday.
The 8th-grade Lady Chiefs ran past Kenton 23-3.
Hailee Lamb paced Bellefontaine with 9 points, Grace Brown had 6, Sophia Jacobs tallied 4 points, and Emma Whitaker and Presley Vigansky each scored 2.

Colten Hurley and Syler Clark each scored 9 while Osborne chipped in with 8.
Urbana’s 7th-grade boys blitzed Graham 56-25.
Drew Dixon had 17 for the Hillclimbers and Crew Forson added 8.
In the 8th-grade game, Urbana won 52-24.
Grady Lantz tallied 14 for Urbana and Kaden Underwood contributed 13.
The West Liberty-Salem 7th-grade boys defeated Northeastern 50-18.
Beckett Sullivan had 12 points, Asher Cole tallied 9, Liam Barger added 8, Zade Beileski chipped in with 7, Brayan Gullett scored 6, Zeke Longshore netted 4, and David Roberts and Blaine Hughes each scored 2 points.
The West Liberty Salem 7th-grade girls beat Northeastern 26-13.
Arianna Weaver led with 8 points, Lucy Cole and Ellery Wygal each had 5, Nevaeh Gravely scored 4, and Isla Leichty and Emma Schmelzer both had 2 apiece.
With the win, the 7th-grade Lady Tigers finish the regular season 15-0.
In the 8th-grade game, West Liberty-Salem toppled Northeastern 39-3.
Belle Sarver paced the way with 15 points, Maddie Adkins added 12, Grace Jones scored 8, Emma Liggett had 2, and Aurdi Evilsizor and Lucy Cole each scored 1 point.
