Boys Soccer: Benjamin Logan vs. London

On Senior Night, the Benjamin Logan boys soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against a strong London squad, bringing their season record to 6-4-5. Goalkeeper Liam Sweeney delivered an impressive performance, recording eight saves and notching his fourth shutout of the season.

Coach Hughes expressed pride in his team, stating, “I’m really proud of our team tonight and happy for our seniors. London is a really good squad, and both teams had a few chances to get that game-winner. It was a fun game to be a part of, and we still have an opportunity to win a league title with everything on the line next Monday at Tecumseh.”

Indian Lake Boys Soccer Thrives

The Indian Lake boys soccer team had a dominant performance against Urbana, winning 6-0. Avery Pequignot led the charge with a hat trick and an assist, while Chase Schaub added two goals and Jacob Freyhof netted another. Colten Corcoran recorded his seventh shutout of the season, thanks to solid defensive support from Cameron Freyhof, Jacob Freyhof, Stevie Spofford, and Cason Lacher. With this victory, Indian Lake improves its record to 10-3-1.

Girls Soccer: Lady Chiefs Claim Victory

In girls soccer, the Lady Chiefs of Bellefontaine faced off against Graham High School, securing a 4-0 win. Callie Shumaker and Ava Watson were the scorers, and goalkeeper Emma Whitaker earned another shutout, supported by a strong defensive effort led by Addison Wical.

JV Soccer Updates

In junior varsity action, the West Liberty-Salem boys JV team played to a scoreless tie against Bellefontaine, despite having more possession and shots. Kyler Langhardt made one save in goal for the Tigers.

The Calvary Christian JV team hosted Fairbanks, emerging victorious with a 3-0 win. After a scoreless first half, Blythe Lowe assisted Mak Kariuki for the opening goal, followed by contributions from Aiden Keller and another from Kariuki. The Spartans’ defense, led by Brody Prall, Brett Gildow, and Maddie Freeland, secured the shutout, improving their record to 6-2-2.
