A Benjamin Logan senior athlete recently signed to compete on the collegiate level.
Gage Hamm signed with the University of Rio Grande for bowling.
Gage will be majoring in welding, and that was one of the reasons he chose Rio Grande. Welding and collegiate bowling had to go hand in hand for Gage.
Upon graduation from Rio Grande, Gage plans to create his own welding business.
Gage started bowling during his freshman year of high school due to encouragement from some of his friends and the team needed more bowlers. Once he got started bowling, he fell in love with the game.
Some of his high school accomplishments include a high game of 300, a high series of 534 (for 2 games), and First Team All-CBC his junior year.
His goals this year are to increase his knowledge of the game, repeat his First Team All-CBC accomplishments and carry a 210 or better average.
Gage has also participated in club bowling since his freshman year and has improved yearly because of all his extra efforts.
He is surrounded by his parents, high school coaches, and the bowling coach from Rio Grande.
