Soccer: Lady Raiders Fall, Tiger Boys Tie

The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders lost 2-1 to Allen East Thursday night.

Ella Chamberlain netted a goal and Rissa Bates recorded 8 saves in the loss.

Ben Logan sits at 3-4 on the season and plays again Saturday at 3 against Springfield.

 

The Benjamin Logan JV boys soccer team defeated Kenton Thursday night on literally the last kick of the game with less than 1 second left on a goal by Cason Bothel.

Wyatt Gordon had the assist on the game-winning goal.

Earlier in the half, Brock Henry scored on a Ben Solano assist which evened a 1-0 halftime deficit.

The JV’s record now stands at 3-2-3 and they travel to take on Bethel on Saturday.

 

The West Liberty-Salem boys’ soccer team played Greenon in a JV and varsity match on Thursday.

The JV team won 1-0.

Scoring for the Tigers was Troy Christison, assisted by Cooper Titus.

Hunter Little and Kyler Langhardt combined in goal to get the shutout.

Little had 3 saves and Langhardt had 1.

The varsity team tied Greenon 1-1.

Matthew Christison scored from an Isaiah Reminder assist.

Carter Titus had 3 saves in goal for WLS.

The JV team plays Bellefontaine at WLS this Saturday at 3 p.m.

The varsity team travels to Sidney Lehman next Tuesday for a 5:30 p.m. contest.
