Over the weekend, West Liberty-Salem 8th grader, Dahlia Sokolow, swept three gold medals at the Youth National Weight Lifting Championships, in Pittsburgh.
This makes her ranked first in lifting in the Nation.
In the 13 and under age group, she was able to lift Snatch 50kg/110 pounds, Clean and Jerk 62kg/136.4 pounds, for a total of 112kg/246.4 pounds.
She broke three state records and set personal records in the Clean, Jerk, and Total.
Sokolow qualified to compete in Arizona in the coming months.
