West Liberty-Salem
The West Liberty-Salem Varsity Boys Basketball team won over Madison Plains with a 56-42. Leading the Tigers was Isaiah Reames, who scored 19 points, followed by Taran Logwood with 15. The team’s next game is set for Friday, December 20th, at Triad, starting with the JVB game at 5:00 PM.
In junior varsity action, West Liberty-Salem JVA defeated Madison Plains 46-33, with Beckett Sullivan, Josiah Johnson, and Tucker Searles each scoring 8 points. Meanwhile, the JVB team won, 51-18, powered by Asher Cole’s 17-point performance.
Bellefontaine and Benjamin Logan
Bellefontaine Chieftains secured a 71-21 win against Benjamin Logan in their latest CBC matchup. Jacob Salyer and Jair Mundy led the team with 18 points apiece. The JV Chieftains also had a win, defeating Benjamin Logan 49-11, with Blake Loomis and Reign St. Clair each netting 11 points. The Freshmen team won 45-35, with Tyler Rossey leading all scorers with 16 points.
The Raiders struggled in the matchup, with Cayden Brown leading the team with 7 points in the loss. The JV Raiders also fell 49-11, while the Freshmen team lost 40-35, despite Owen Stratton’s 11 points.
Indian Lake
Indian Lake’s Varsity team fell to Jonathan Alder 75-56. Brodey Reisinger put up 28 points, with Avery Pequignot contributing 14. The JV team also lost 48-17.
Riverside
Riverside’s Freshman team suffered a tough 40-5 loss to Sidney Lehman, while the JV squad came out on top with a 48-43 win. Colton Hurley led the JV team with 18 points and eight rebounds. In Varsity action, Riverside lost to Sidney Lehman 53-35. Gavin Osborne scored 17 points and had 4 steals to lead the team.
