In a game broadcast on 98.3 WPKO, West Liberty-Salem fell to Preble Shawnee 66-39 Thursday evening in the sectional semi-final at Northmont High School.
The Tigers battled throughout the first half, enduring tough full-court defensive pressure from the Arrows going into the breakdown 15, 33-18.
West Liberty-Salem would start the second half strong with a quick 5-0 run, but Preble Shawnee took the jab the Tigers threw and would outscore WL-S 18-11 in the third period and ultimately come out on top.
Matt Jones paced the Tigers with 10 points, Taran Logwood added 8, Carson Poppe finished with 7, James Powell and Miles Hostetler each scored 4, and Brevin Louden and Garrett Wallen both had 3 points.
West Liberty-Salem wraps up their season at 13-11.
