Volleyball Spikes From the Weekend: Bellefontaine, Riverside & West Liberty

The Bellefontaine Chiefs fell to host Kenton Ridge: 25-23, 14-25, 16-25 & 14-25.

• Taylor Banta had 18 kills, 20 digs, and was 8/8 serving with a block
• Kelsie Snapp added 14 kills, 22 digs, was 17/17 serving with 1 ace, and 2 blocks
• Madi Zedeker tallied 36 assists, 7 digs, and was 12/12 serving with 3 aces and 1 block
• Reagan Standley had 8 digs and was perfect serving going 13/13
• Ava Campbell added 3 kills and 3 blocks
• Kylie Adams recorded 3 digs
• Ava Reeves chipped in with 14 digs and was 11/12 serving with an ace
• Ava Layman had a kill and a solo block

The JV Chefs also fell short: 19-25 & 12-25.

• Zoey Conner had 9 kills, 6 digs, and perfect serving going 5/5 with an ace
• Jillian Ullom tallied 8 digs
• Kaeleigh Flora had 8 kills, 5 digs and was 5/6 serving
• Kylee Bogss had 3 digs and 7 assists while going perfect serving 7/7 with an ace
• Presley Vigansky had 9 assists, 8 digs, and a kill
• Rylee Yelton had 3 digs and was 5/5 serving

The Chiefs are back in action Tuesday on the road versus London.

The Riverside Varsity team lost in three sets against Ben Logan: 25-13, 25-18 & 25-12.

• Avery Perk: 5 kills, 7 assists, 14 digs, 100% from the serving line
•  Kait Schlumbohm: 13 digs, led the team in serve receive
•  Jayden Hoffer: 4 kills

The Riverside JV team lost in three sets. 19-25L, 25-22W, 14-25L.

• Shaye McGill had an outstanding game with 7 digs, and 4 assists, and went 100% on the serving line
• Gillian Knight had 3 aces. Keira Manahan had 8 kills

The West Liberty-Salem Tiger volleyball team is the #1 seed in the Southwest District OHSAA Division 3 Volleyball Tournament.

The Tigers will take on #20 seed Tri-County North on Tuesday, at 6:30 PM in Brookville.
