On the one-year anniversary of the EF-3 tornado that impacted the Indian Lake and surrounding areas, the community will come together to remember those lost and honor the progress made since that devastating day.
The event, set for Friday, March 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM, will take place at the Indian Lake High School Auditorium, located at 6210 State Route 235 in Lewistown.
Doors will open at 6:30 PM for attendees to arrive and reflect before the event begins.
The evening will open with a prayer and include remarks from several local leaders, including the Logan County Commissioners, Washington Township Police Chief Michael Thompson, Russells Point Police Chief Joe Freyhof, Indian Joint Fire District Chief Mark Gibson, Village of Lakeview Mayor Elaine Fagan-Moore, Indian Lake EMS Chief Josh Strayer, and Sheriff Randy Dodds.
The program will conclude with a Moment of Silence and a closing prayer.
A Facebook page, “Anchored in Hope,” has been created for community members to share their personal stories of the tornado and their recovery.
A public event has also been created for people to share through social media.
