Wrock Bottom Bar on Chillicothe Avenue in Bellefontaine is teaming up with local law enforcement to promote safe driving as part of the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” nationwide campaign.

Owners Andrea and Rodney Wrocklage say they want customers to enjoy a night out while making sure everyone gets home safely.

The Wrocklages offer a free service called “Hitch A Ride” for customers who have had too much to drink.

The service provides customers with a safe ride home so they don’t have to get behind the wheel.

The program is designed to give customers another option if they realize they are not safe to drive.

Law enforcement officers from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Russells Point Police Department, West Liberty Police Department, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol were on hand for the campaign kickoff.

The partnership is part of a broader effort to prevent impaired driving and reduce crashes caused by alcohol or drug impairment.

Law enforcement agencies will also be increasing enforcement efforts during the campaign.

The message is simple: if you’ve had too much to drink, don’t drive.

Take advantage of a safe ride home.

Wrock Bottom Bar’s “Hitch A Ride” service gives customers a way to get home safely and leave their vehicle behind.

The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign runs through the Labor Day holiday period, the closing of the summer holiday.
