Bellefontaine Fire crews were called to Lee’s Chicken on Tuesday morning.
When an employee of Lee’s Chicken started a fryer, the oil level was too low and ignited a small fire.
By the time crews arrived on the scene, the fire had self-extinguished.
Crews checked the building for safety and engaged the ladder truck to check the roof of the building.
The scene was cleared, and crews were at the site for around 45 minutes.
