Bellefontaine firefighters came to the rescue of a stranded kitten Thursday morning after being called to Southtowne Meadows.
According to the Bellefontaine Fire Department, crews were dispatched to help remove a kitten that had become trapped in the engine compartment of a resident’s vehicle.
Firefighters safely rescued the animal without injury.
The kitten is being temporarily cared for at the Bellefontaine Fire Department.
Officials are asking for the public’s help in locating the kitten’s owner.
Anyone who believes the kitten may belong to them can stop by the fire station or call (937) 599-6168.
The department is also encouraging residents to share the information to help reunite the kitten with its family.
