Saturday morning, Bellefontaine Police were called to Walgreens for a theft report.
When officers were en route they saw a woman, walking, who matched the description from Walgreens and stopped her.
Sable Six, 19, of Bellefontaine, spoke with officers and claimed she had purchased leggings from the store with cash.
When they asked for the receipt she told them she had put it in the garbage at Walgreens.
Officers explained to Six that if she returned the merchandise she would not be taken to jail.
Six then removed several items from her bag and exclaimed that she was not getting into the back of the officer’s cruiser.
Officers then placed her under arrest for theft.
Before placing Six into handcuffs, an officer attempted to remove her bag off her back, when she kicked the officer.
She was then handcuffed and transported to the Logan County Jail.
Officers returned the items to Walgreens and were informed that Six had been in the store several times recently and had stolen items.
Six was charged with theft, aggravated menacing, and felonious assault.
