The Raiders competed in double-elimination playoffs on Sunday falling 400-175 in Round 19 to another Ohio team, Garfield (Garrettsville, OH).

Placing 8th (out of 77) in their division, the Benjamin Logan team earned a trophy with individual team members receiving medals. Among 421 competitors, Ras-D Ahnutae (senior) ranked 10th and Isaac Napier (senior) ranked 40th.

Also competing for Benjamin Logan were Livi Achor (freshman), Matthew Cox (sophomore), Brookelynn Oliphant (sophomore), and Evan Wall (senior).

The team is losing some powerhouse seniors, but they have some good freshmen and sophomores waiting in the wings. Quiz Bowl is open to any high school student interested in joining. The team practices once or twice a week. The team is coached by Michael Kettler. Kettler teaches CCP Chemistry / AP Chemistry, and Physics. He advises the Quiz Bowl and Gaming Club.

This is Benjamin Logan’s sixth trip to the Small School National Championship Tournament. Their previous best finish was 12th out of 96 in 2017.
