Jeffery Brown, 39, of Lakeview, was arrested Wednesday evening.
He was accused of theft at a gas station in Lakeview and he told the clerk that he was going to kill her.
When deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene, Brown was found at a store across the street and approached deputies with his hands up.
Brown admitted that he had been in the gas station and was accused of stealing when he did not.
He said he was threatened and left the store, but remained outside and then walked across the street.
The clerk told deputies that Brown had threatened to kill her and her family.
Two witnesses confirmed similar stories.
Brown was charged arrested and transported to the Logan County Jail on an aggravated menacing charge.
