Thomas Wilson, 55, of Bellefontaine, was arrested Friday on a felony domestic violence charge following an alleged altercation at a residence on East Brown Avenue, according to a police report.

Officers were called to the residence around 7:30 p.m. on a report of domestic violence.

Dispatchers advised that Wilson had left the scene in a white Chevrolet pickup truck before officers arrived.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with two victims outside the residence.

One victim told police that Wilson had become enraged during an argument involving accusations of infidelity and left the home because he knew law enforcement was on the way.

The second victim told officers that Wilson grabbed and twisted her arm during the dispute, causing her to hear a cracking sound.

Police reported observing swelling in the arm and offered medical assistance, which she declined.

She told officers she planned to seek treatment at a local emergency room.

According to the report, the victim said Wilson became upset while discussing housing matters and accusations involving another household member.

She stated Wilson grabbed her arm, twisted it, and raised his fist during the confrontation.

The victim also told police that children were present in the home during the incident.

Officers were unable to locate Wilson immediately following the complaint.

At approximately 10:01 p.m., another officer conducted a traffic stop involving Wilson’s white Chevrolet Silverado at the intersection of Washington Avenue and South Main Street.

Wilson told officers he had consumed alcohol, taken a nap, and returned to town intending to turn himself in.

According to the report, Wilson stated that another victim had used a pen-shaped Taser on him during an argument and that he struck her after being shocked.

He also admitted grabbing the second victim’s arm, telling officers he intended to throw her down after she intervened in the dispute.

Police reported that Wilson acknowledged hearing or feeling something “squish” in the victim’s arm during the encounter.

Officers did not observe any visible injury on Wilson related to his claim that he had been shocked.

Following interviews with the victims and Wilson, officers placed Wilson under arrest on a domestic violence charge.

He was transported to the Logan County Jail and booked without incident.

According to the report, Wilson has a prior domestic violence conviction, elevating the current charge to a fourth-degree felony.
