Calvary Christian School Announces November Seniors of the Month

Calvary Christian School proudly recognizes Kari Gantz and Daniel Young as the November Seniors of the Month. These exceptional students have demonstrated remarkable leadership, dedication, and a passion for their faith throughout their high school years.

Daniel Young

Daniel, the son of Matt and Bobbie Young, is a standout member of the school community. His impressive list of activities includes membership in the National Honor Society, serving as President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and participating in the Key Club, soccer, basketball, and track. Daniel has been recognized for his academic excellence, receiving the Wisdom Award and acting as the ASB Athletic Director.

Favorite School Memory: One of Daniel’s most memorable moments was taking a bus ride through the Costa Rican jungle during ESM week, despite the heavy rain that made visibility almost impossible.

Passion: Daniel has a deep love for playing soccer with his friends.

Inspirations: He credits his parents and Coach Aaron Adelsberger as significant influences in his life

Bible Verse: Psalm 8:1 has profoundly impacted Daniel, reminding him to glorify the Lord and stand in awe of His wonder.

Most Impactful Activity: His participation in the Costa Rica mission trip was a life-changing experience.

Future Plans: After graduation, Daniel aims to earn a bachelor’s degree in allied health, attend PTA school, and ultimately become a Physical Therapist.

Calvary’s Influence: Daniel believes Calvary has shaped his worldview, teaching him the importance of what is truly valuable in life.

Advice for New Students: “Don’t stress yourself out. Have fun and enjoy your friends. Not to be cringe, but time really does fly!”

Kari Gantz

Kari, daughter of Kyle and Kristy Gantz, is equally active and engaged in the school’s activities. She plays on the varsity volleyball and basketball teams, participates in drama, and serves as the Vice President of the Key Club and Secretary of the FCA. Additionally, she holds the position of Worship Director in ASB and is the Senior Class President.

Favorite School Memory: Kari cherishes the moments spent playing volleyball and cheering at basketball games.

Passion: She is passionate about leading others to Christ through worship.

Inspirations: Kari draws inspiration from her parents, youth leaders, grandparents, and Kristen Brunner.

Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 resonates deeply with her, emphasizing the strength found in weakness.

Most Impactful Activity: Kari cites worship nights as some of the most meaningful events during her time at Calvary.

Future Plans: While currently undecided, Kari is exploring options in either education or the medical field.

Calvary’s Influence: Her experiences at Calvary have strengthened her relationship with Christ, supported by encouraging teachers and friends.

Advice for New Students: “You only have one chance to be a kid, enjoy it! Don’t focus so much on your future that you miss the joys the Lord has placed in front of you.”
