The Logan County Chamber of Commerce gathered for its monthly Legislative Impact Meeting Wednesday morning at Mary Rutan Health.
The event, which saw a good turnout, was originally set to feature State Representative Tim Barhorst as the keynote speaker.
However, Barhorst was unable to attend due to a family illness.
His Legislative Aid was present to offer an apology for his absence and to provide updates on some of the legislative priorities Barhorst will be pursuing in 2025.
Among the key topics discussed were House Bill 505 and the possibility of Representative Barhorst being appointed to the influential Ways and Means Committee.
These issues are expected to play a significant role in the district’s legislative agenda for the upcoming year.
Taylor Armstrong, Barhorst’s aide, shared more details on both initiatives and offered insight into the strategic direction of the district’s goals for the 2025 legislative session.
