City Man Lands in Jail After Ignoring Police

Monday morning, Bellefontaine Police were watching traffic when they discovered Kenneth Garris, 22, of Bellefontaine, driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Officers pulled behind him and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.

Trying to catch up with him, officers accelerated down South Detroit Street going upwards of 70 miles per hour.

Garris did not stop for officers until he reached Lamplight Court Apartments and parked his vehicle.

He told officers he had been on the phone and didn’t realize they were attempting to pull him over.

Garris denied knowing he had a suspended license, however, due to prior interactions officers deemed that to be untrue.

He was arrested for failure to comply and transported to the Logan County Jail.

Garris was additionally cited with driving under a noncompliance suspension.
