The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says deputies have responded to the same DeGraff home 51 times for disputes involving the same couple since September 2023.

The latest call came just before 8:00 p.m. Sunday at a home on North Boggs Street.

According to the sheriff’s office, a woman reported that 45-year-old Jeremiah Carman was following her through the home, knocked her cellphone out of her hand, and got in her face during an argument.

Carman said the argument began earlier at a business in Sidney and continued at the home.

He denied the incident became physical.

The woman told deputies she recorded part of the argument on her cellphone.

According to the report, the video captured Carman threatening to “beat the brakes off” her.

She told deputies she feared for her safety.

Carman was arrested without incident and taken to the Logan County Jail.

He was charged with domestic violence and menacing, both fourth-degree misdemeanors.
