Bellefontaine police responded to a crash Wednesday within the 100-block of East Williams Avenue.
It was reported that the driver, Sandra McGee, 79, of Bellefontaine, was barely breathing.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found McGee was traveling eastbound and struck an unoccupied and parked vehicle.
That vehicle was then pushed into a second vehicle.
The officers found that McGee was in distress which required immediate intervention.
They began CPR until the arrival of Bellefontaine Fire/EMS personnel, who later transported her to Mary Rutan Hospital.
Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, McGee passed away at Mary Rutan Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
