Flock cameras helped Bellefontaine Police track a vehicle during a search for a missing juvenile over the weekend.

Police were called to a home on Dakota Road late Friday after the juvenile left without permission and was believed to have been picked up in a black Ford Ranger.

Officers got the truck’s license plate number and checked several locations where the juvenile might have gone.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.

Police then used Flock cameras to track the truck. It was spotted traveling south through Springfield around 10:48 p.m. and was later seen in Montgomery County.

Another Flock camera captured the truck on Guenther Road in Trotwood around 11:27 p.m.

Bellefontaine Police contacted Trotwood Police and issued a statewide alert for the vehicle and juvenile.

Trotwood officers reported a large gathering of juveniles in the area and checked whether the missing juvenile was present.

The juvenile was ultimately found safe at the original residence Sunday morning.

The juvenile told officers they had gone to a friend’s house and stayed overnight without telling their guardians before returning home.
