The Logan County Vets to D.C. are gearing up for their final trip to our nation’s capital this week.
This is a trip organized by local volunteers that busses local veterans to Washington D.C. for a weekend to visit the memorials.
Scott Stewart, President of the Logan County Vets to D.C., says it’s important to not forget what our veterans have done for our country.
On Friday, the group will gather at the Logan County fairgrounds for breakfast before departing for D.C.
Stewart asks the community to line Main Street from the fairgrounds in Bellefontaine through town to US 33. Bring your flags, signs, smiling faces, and help send off our veterans on their last DC trip. The group will depart the Logan County Fairgrounds at 8 a.m. sharp.
This marks the Logan County group’s seventh trip. They will travel all day Friday, and Saturday they plan to spend the entire day on Saturday at the memorials in D.C. before departing on Sunday for Ohio.
