Ohio voters will see Keith Faber on the November ballot as the Republican candidate for Ohio Attorney General.
Faber currently serves as Ohio Auditor of State, a position he has held since 2019.
He previously served in the Ohio Senate, including as Senate President, and was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives before that.
Faber won the Republican nomination for Attorney General without opposition in the May primary.
He will face Democrat John J. Kulewicz in the November 3 general election.
The Attorney General serves as Ohio’s chief legal officer, representing the state in legal matters and overseeing the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
The office also handles issues involving consumer protection, crime and law enforcement, charitable organizations and other areas of state law.
Faber’s campaign has focused on his experience as a state auditor and his record of investigating government spending and potential fraud.
In recent months, he has also made government accountability and Medicaid issues part of his campaign message.
The race is for a four-year term beginning in January 2027.
The position is open following Dave Yost’s resignation as Attorney General in June.
Governor Mike DeWine appointed Andy Wilson to serve the remainder of Yost’s term.
