Graham announces three finalists for superintendent position

Graham Local Schools has announced three finalists in its search for the district’s next superintendent: Dr. Kat Childers, Mr. Tony Cochren, and Mr. Steve Dickerson.

Community members will have the opportunity to meet the candidates and provide feedback during public sessions at Graham Middle School on Monday, May 4 and Tuesday, May 5. Each finalist will appear at a scheduled time for questions and community interaction.

Mr. Tony Cochren will kick off the event on Monday, May 4 from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. Cochren is the director of pupil services for Eaton Community Schools.

Dr. Kat Childers will follow on Monday, May 4 from 7:00 to 7:45 p.m. Childers currently serves as high school principal and superintendent designee for New Lebanon Local Schools.

Mr. Steve Dickerson will appear on Tuesday, May 5, from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. Dickerson is a retired superintendent who previously served at Hillsdale Local Schools.

District officials say the event is designed to give community members a chance to meet the top candidates, ask questions, and share feedback. All input collected will be compiled by K12 Business Consulting and presented to the Graham Board of Education as part of the selection process.

Residents are encouraged to attend and take part in the process as Graham Local Schools moves forward in choosing its next superintendent.
