Friday evening Dennis Horne, 22 of Bellefontaine, was taken into custody and lodged in the Logan County Jail for a charge of Felonious Assault.
Officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to a home in the 700 Block of Albert Street to speak with the victim about a man attacking him with a knife.
The victim stated that he had gone to a home on Florence Avenue to pick up some of his belongings when he and Horne, “got into it.”
According to the victim, Horne charged him with a knife, attempted to stab him, and threatened to kill him.
The victim told officers that in self-defense, he wrestled Horne to the ground and punched him in the face, knocking him out.
Officers located Horne at the Florence Avenue home in the driveway, sitting in a Honda Element.
He showed several signs of intoxication.
Officers asked Horne to exit the vehicle and he refused.
After a brief struggle, Horne was helped out of the vehicle and placed into handcuffs.
He was then transported to the Logan County Jail.
