The Indian Lake Local Schools Board of Education wrapped up the final regular meeting of the 2025-26 school year Monday night by approving personnel changes, recognizing student accomplishments, and preparing for this week’s graduation ceremonies.
Board members approved the hiring of Linsey Titus as the new assistant principal at Indian Lake Elementary School.
Titus will replace retiring co-principal Pam Scarpella and has served as a third-grade teacher and member of the district’s PBIS team for several years.
Superintendent Dr. Rob Underwood updated the board on graduation plans for the Indian Lake High School Class of 2026.
He said 122 seniors have officially met all Indian Lake graduation requirements.
Commencement ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, May 22, at 7 p.m. at Laker Stadium, although district officials are closely monitoring the weather and could move the ceremony indoors if necessary.
A final decision is expected Thursday.
The event is open to the public, and tickets will not be required.
The board also approved a $13,000 donation from the Indian Lake Athletic Boosters to help support uniforms and athletic equipment.
Several students involved in the ILHS/OHP FFA program were also recognized for accomplishments during the school year.
Courtney Altstaetter, Matthew Culp, Hazel McDermit, and Jessica Savage each earned their State FFA Degree this spring.
Alex Kinney was additionally honored after placing second in the state in Fruit and Nut Proficiency.
