Last week, the Ohio Department of Natural Resouces said satellite imagery suggested the potential presence of harmful algal blooms at Indian Lake’s Oldfield Beach.
Natalie Foos, Land and Water Resources Administrator from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources says, “We have just received microcystin results for Indian Lake State Parks, Oldfield Beach, and it is less than 0.240ug/l. No advisory is needed. If the bloom persists, we will sample again.”
In other words, Indian Lake is safe to fish, swim, and boat!
Enjoy the water and cool off.
