The Indian Lake School Board of Education met in regular session Monday evening.
The board voted to renew the levy at the present rate on the November ballot. If the voters pass the levy, it will run from 2025 to 2030.
Student Elayna Richardson was recognized as she placed 8th in the 200-meter dash in the Indoor State Track and Field Championships and also qualified for the OHSAA State Track Meet in the 400-meter dash a few weeks ago.
Tara Bair, President/CEO of Community Health & Wellness Partners, gave an update on the school’s new Community Health Center. Bair stated that the community has been very engaged in the services offered, with the clinic serving 292 patients in half a year. Bair also discussed possibilities for future adjustments, such as a full-time provider, movable walls to ensure privacy, and vehicular transportation from the elementary to the high school.

An update on the asbestos remediation project in the older section of the high school was also given. Construction is progressing quickly and on schedule.
The board voted to renew its contract with the Washington Township Police Department, maintaining the School Resource Officer program for the second year.
The board then approved substitute, approved teacher contracts, approved classified contracts, approved supplemental contracts, approved VLA Pay Rates, approved summer stipends, and approved extended service days as follows. Athletic game help pay schedule was also approved.
