The Knowlton Library had a great turnout for its grand opening on Wednesday.
The library was under renovation due to a water main break in December of 2022.
Ben Vollrath, President of the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, and Beverly Arlequeeuw, Executive Director of Logan County Libraries started the ceremony by thanking all who made the restoration possible.
Trustees of the Library Board were introduced during the event.
Special guests of Pete the Cat, Elephant, and Piggy arrived to give kids an opportunity to show their excitement about the reopening.
Refreshments and cookies were served in the Goodrich Community Room to celebrate.
Beverly Arlequeeuw touches on the excitement from the ribbon-cutting:
During the ceremony, it was mentioned that the Knowlton Library opened in 1904, making this year the 120th anniversary.
The Library is open Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 8 pm, and Friday and Saturday 9 am to 4 pm.
