Logan County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home on County Road 32 South last night for a domestic complaint.
When deputies arrived they found Devin LaFollette, 43, of Bellefontaine, and his daughter, 17, waiting outside.
According to witnesses, LaFollette and his wife, who work together, were arguing over matters at work. LaFollette became upset when his wife mentioned divorce and shoved the victim.
Witnesses say she fell against the door and onto the steps where she remained until deputies arrived.
Both of LaFollette’s children were in the home at the time.
The fall aggravated injuries associated with a broken neck five years prior, according to deputies on the scene, leaving the victim without feeling in her back and legs.
LaFollette immediately regretted his actions and went to care for the victim.
LaFollette is charged with felonious assault and is lodged in the Logan County Jail.
A report was forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office and Children Services for review.
