Last Friday, officers from the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to Mad River Firearms on Detroit Street in reference to a burglary in progress.
The front door appeared to have been smashed and no suspects were located.
Business owner, Lane Boggs arrived on the scene and showed officers video of the incident, including the vehicle that had smashed the front door.
The video showed four suspects enter the building, smashing glass displays and placing several guns in backpacks. The suspects then left the business.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office located the abandoned vehicle a short time later in the Fountain Plaza.
The vehicle was then secured by the Bellefontaine Police Department.
An investigation is underway, and as more details are released, this story will be updated.
