Logan County and the rest of west central Ohio were spared the devastation of Winter Storm Blair this weekend.

In what was expected to bring heavy snow and dangerous conditions to a majority of the state, the storm held a more southern track, keeping most of the wintery white stuff south of Interstate 70.

According to Weather.com, Cincinnati received 8.4 inches of snow Sunday, breaking the daily record of 6.9 inches set in 1977.

Dayton received 2.7 inches of snow, tying their record set in 1903.

The most snow recorded in the state yesterday was in Racine, with more than 10 inches.

Locations in six states—Maryland, Delaware, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana—reported at least a foot of snow.

For precautionary measures, Logan County remains in a Level One Snow Emergency.

Champaign County is in a Level Two Snow Emergency.

More than 80,000 power outages were reported in Kentucky alone from the storm.

However, as dangerously low temperatures remain in the area for the foreseeable future, another storm is coming into the Ohio Valley, reaching the Buckeye State by Friday or Saturday.
