There is great appreciation for a strong community and Ohio Hi-Point students are asking for your support.
The student-led group, SOS, “Save Our Students,” aims to raise awareness about mental health and foster a positive school culture.
Recently, SOS established a committee dedicated to creating an in-school food pantry for students who require food assistance during weekends and school breaks.
The committee is working to open, Peak Pantry at The Sloan, in January.
They are hosting a Holiday Food Drive through December 20 to help stock the pantry.
The United Way of Logan County is generously letting SOS use their “Stuff the Bus” containers for each classroom in Ohio Hi-Point.
Kyle Springs with Zimmerman Realty, Ltd. delivered the bins with the help of Juniors in Criminal Justice from OHP.
The committee is asking for donations of unexpired and sealed non-perishable food items.
To donate, you can find a donation container in the front office at Ohio Hi-Point, located at 2280 OH-540, Bellefontaine, OH 43311.
Simply ring the doorbell, and let Ms. Clem know you have a donation to make.
For any questions or more information, call (937) 599-3010 and ask for Ms. Clem.
