Wednesday morning, staff at the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center were made aware of a Snapchat video that had been posted Tuesday night showing a student in an Ohio Hi-Point bathroom with a fake firearm.
The School Resource Office and OHP staff worked quickly to identify the student, remove him from the classroom, and investigate.
The administration and the SRO searched the student’s vehicle and confiscated the fake firearms.
OHP is working with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office to determine any further action.
Ohio Hi-Point Career Center released information Wednesday and said at no time was there a threat to student or staff safety.
They said this behavior is in violation of their policies and code of conduct and will not be tolerated.
The incident remains under investigation and more details will be released soon.
