The Bellefontaine Police Department will be conducting a training exercise on Thursday afternoon at the Myeerah Nature Preserve in partnership with the Bellefontaine Joint Recreation District.
According to a public notice shared by the department, the training is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, beginning at 4:00 p.m. and continuing until dark.
Officials say the exercise will include police K9 units and the use of blank ammunition.
Residents in the area may hear loud noises or notice an increased law enforcement presence during the training.
