Riverside Students Celebrate Summer Reading Challenge Success

Riverside Elementary School proudly announced the winners of their summer reading challenge, celebrating the achievements of 30 enthusiastic students from grades PK-6. The challenge, designed to encourage a love of reading, required participants to read either 30 books or spend 20 hours reading over the summer.

This year’s challenge saw an impressive turnout, with students embracing the opportunity to expand their literary horizons. The grand prize winners were awarded a diverse selection of exciting prizes, each providing a unique experience for the young achievers:

– A Riverside Pirates Signed Football: Perfect for sports enthusiasts, this prize features the autographs of the Riverside Pirates team members.
– Four Passes to All Riverside Home Football Games: Offering a full season of excitement, these passes will allow winners to enjoy every home game.
– Two Sets of Four Tickets to a Dragon’s Baseball Game: Winners can look forward to cheering on the Dragon’s baseball team with family or friends.
– Four Tickets to the Cincinnati Zoo: An adventure awaits with a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo, featuring a variety of animals and exhibits.
– Two Tickets to COSI: A day of hands-on science and discovery is in store with tickets to COSI, the Center of Science and Industry.

The reading challenge not only promoted literacy but also fostered a sense of community and accomplishment among students. The variety of prizes reflects Riverside’s commitment to rewarding students’ hard work and dedication in a way that appeals to diverse interests.
