The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says it is aware of reports circulating on social media alleging that chickens were dumped at the Logan County Landfill.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies became aware of the situation and immediately contacted the Ohio Department of Agriculture to ensure the matter is investigated and addressed by the appropriate agency.
Officials say the Ohio Department of Agriculture is responsible for handling potential livestock and agricultural-related concerns of this nature.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office emphasized that it is not conducting an investigation into the matter.
